Minister Gayton McKenzie pledged 12million to hip hop.

McKenzie said hip hop guys in South Africa are not fighting enough for their space.

“you have to fight for your space, I know you are in a tough industry, I know there is exploitation… We can’t have 1concert like back to the city we should have 12 per year ” he said.

SA Hip hop has been rumored to be on a standstill with artists like Big Zulu creating diss track meant to encourage hip hop to stand up and be as it were before.

McKenzie hence encouraged hip hop artists to stand up and fight back for their space in the industry.
