Loyiso Bala Reminisces About How He First Met PJ Powers

Singer, Loyiso Bala was recently spotted with PJ Powers. He shared a picture of the both of them and reminisced about how he first met her in 1995 when the Drankensburg Boys Choir was asked to sing the national anthem for the opening of the 95 Rugby world cup.

He said that he made a friend and sister for life. “From that moment, PJ started to take notice of me, growing fond of my music and passion for music. She became not only a mentor but a true supporter of my talent, always encouraging me to keep going.

Now nearly 30 years later, we are still sharing the stage and our bond- personally and musically has grown stronger,” he said.

PJ Powers famously known for her song Jabulani has been entertaining South Africa for decades.
