The son of legendary producer Sello Chicco Twala, Longwe Twala allegedly shot and killed Senzo Meyiwa on October 26 2024. This according to advocate Mngomezulu who is the lawyer for accused number one, Muzi Sibiya. He said this on Tuesday at the Pretoria High Court during the cross examination of state witness and ballistics expert, Lt-Col Christian Mangena.
Mngomezulu said that Longwe shot Meyiwa with a 38 special revolver that belonged to his father. Longwe was present when Meyiwa was shot and killed at the home of his then girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo.
The people who were in the house were Kelly, her sister Zandile, their mother Gladness, Longwe who was dating Zandile at the time and two of Meyiwa’s close friends.
Mangena said that there was no evidence of a 38 special revolver or any revolver at the crime scene, the only evidence at the scene was a 9mm bullet recovered.
