The Brenda Fassie biopic is in production. This after a few years of planning and court cases, a project on the life and career of Fassie is underway. Pre-production and casting has already started with hands on involvement of the late star’s son Bongani Fassie.
This according to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela. In 2020, it was reported that the biopic would be released late that year or in early 2021.
Online users reacted to this news with questions, some asking who would play Brenda Fassie, who was producing it and what was Chicco Twala saying about it. Others expressed excitement saying that finally it was about time.
