The Minister of Home Affairs has also attempted to set the record straight on social media commentary around Chidimma Adetshina’s nationality. He reportedly said, “The law is clear that of the mother is born in South Africa and she (Chidimma) was born in South Africa then those are South Africans.” He also said that they would not entertain an uproar about a particular individual.
He said that the Department would not be dragged into innuendos and vicious episodes on social media. He said that some individuals close to Chidimma have called on Home Affairs to verify her documents with her consent. This after Operation Dudula gave the Minister of Home Affairs until Friday to produce het identity as promised and failure to meet the demands Miss South Africa will have to be canceled.
