South African artist Authur Mofokate is trending after n X user suggested that he is one of y
the artists who have benefitted from the Covid 19 Relief Fund.
The user went on to say that he still hasn’t been arrested and is roaming the streets free. The user went on to say that Lord Gayton should start with this case on the list of beneficiaries through fraud.
This after Sports Minister Gayton Mckenzie tweeted that he wants to publish a list of artists, creatives and sports people including the amounts they received and the reasons for it.
In 2021, legendary musician and producer Chicco Twala called Arthur out for allegedly applying for covid 19 relief fund during the lockdow, arguing that the funds in question were meant to help struggling artists through the pandemic.
Twala lambasted him saying that he reckoned Arthur had the necessary resources to survive tj3 financial effects of the pandemic while there were many artists out there facing tremendous hardship. Twala believed Arthur unethically applied for the funding.
