After his recent appearance at the ANC Siyanqoba rally at FNB stadium on Saturday 25 May 2024, former Ukhozi FM DJ Ngizwe Mchunu said that his appearance should not be misconstructed as political alliegence.
“People saw me at the ANC rally and jumped to conclusions about my political stance. I’m not a politician nor do i aspire to be one. I’m the voice of the Bhinca nation and my presence at the rally was to ascertain that the ANC’s plans for amabhinca should they remain in power,”
he said. He also addressed rumours of betrayal towards former president Jacob Zuma clarifying that his admiration for Zuma was as a father figure rather than a political ally.”
My respect for Zuma is personal, not political. Our relationship should not be interpreted as political support.”
