Tyla now the most streamed African artist

South African singer and Grammy award winner Tyla is now the most streamed African artiste on Spotify surpassing Burna Boy and Rema.

Tyla’s song Water received over 499 million plays bringing her monthly Spotify listener count to 30 million.

On Apple music, Tyla’s debuyt album is ranked in 140 countries. Her self titled album is presently in the top 10 on iTunes in 20 different countries.

Her hit aong ‘water’ won her a Grammy award for Best African Music Performance but the remix with Travis Scott also hit a million views on YouTube within the first 24 hours of its release. Water is currently at 5 million views after only a week on Spotify.
