The South African national Prosecutions Authority ‘s Investigative Directorate (NPA), has conducted a raid at the home of National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.
The raid was publicised through a statement by NPA spokesman, Advocate Mthunzi Mhaga.
Nosiviwe is being investigated in connection with corruption allegations during her tenure as defence minister.

Nosiviwe is said to have smuggled a Burundian woman with a false passport into South Africa on an air force jet in 2016, it is unclear how she was not arrested but promoted by ANC.
