RIP: Brave Cancer Fighter, Zoleka Mandela Laid to Rest

Zoleka Mandela, a brave cancer fighter was laid to rest today at a private family ceremony. She was the granddaughter of iconic liberation heroes Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela.

The author and activist lost her life on Monday the 25th of September 2023 after a long battle with cancer. She was 43 years old at the time of her death.

The world will remember her as a strong individual who lived to help others by sharing her struggles with cancer.

Zoleka survived breast cancer, however this time around the disease had spread to her liver, lungs, pelvis, hip, spinal cord and brain.

Mandela was laid to rest at the Fourways Memorial Park. Our deepest condolences to the Mandela family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
