A senior South African National Parks manager in the Environmental Crime Unit Kobus de Wet was killed by a hippo on Saturday.
The South African National Parks has since expressed it’s heartfelt condolences following his passing.
De Wet was stormed and killed by a hippopotamus while camping in Kruger National Park. It is still not clear what led to the attack.
Investigations into the incident have since been launched. De Wet was camping with his wife when the incident occurred.
