Cape Town Taxi Strikes to Continue Until 9 August

The South African National Taxi Council immediately called for a strike in the Western Cape yesterday.

The association said the suspension was due to the Western Cape government’s ill-treatment of the taxi industry.

The strike will continue until further notice. Scores of people were left stranded at pick-up points yesterday afternoon as there were no taxis to ferry them.
