Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s video arriving at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court yesterday has left many South Africans with unanswered questions.
In the video Magudumana arrived walking freely and in a jovial mood, laughing and conversing with other people.
She was holding a blanket and some few paper bags, as if she was coming back from shopping.
The atmosphere changed when she was entering the court. Her legs were in chains and she was looking not so happy.
She wore very nice clothes and nice make-up. Some people in Mzansi are saying she is behaving like she is under house arrest.
Thabo Bester appeared virtually before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s court. He is being detained at Kgosi Mampuru II prison.
Dr Nandipha Magudumana appeared along with seven other accused who include members of the G4S. The matter was postponed to August 2023.
Their charges include assisting a convicted r_apist and murderer to escape from Mangaung Maximum prison last year by staging a fake suicide.
They also face charges of fraud, defeating the ends of justice and tempering with a corpse.
