Telecoms giant Cell C has named Jorge Mendes as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Mendes will assume the position at the beginning of next month. He left Vodacom in January after serving the operator for 23 years.

His appointment follows the sudden departure of Douglas Craigie Stevenson who left in March 2023.

Cell C is counting on Mendes’ experience and expertise to push growth and profitability in the company.
