Akhona Qengqe Appointed as The First Black General Manager at KFC

Akhona Qengqe made history by becoming the first Female Black General Manager at KFC after being appointed by KFC Africa.

Qengqe will replace the outgoing general manager Dhruv Kaul. She will take over from the 1st of April 2023

She joined KFC in 2015 as the Development Director before being promoted to Chief People Officer for KFC Africa in 2020.

Akhona has also served as the Chairperson of the board of the Franchise Association of South Africa.
