Self proclaimed Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has vowed never to set foot in South Africa again. He was talking during an interview in his home country Malawi.
The leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering church likened his escape from South Africa to fleeing a burning house.
He said he doesn’t know how he escaped fire in South Africa. Bushiri added that his escape is like Somalians who are in Malawi after fleeing war in their home country.
Bushiri revealed that state resources were being used to try to kill him. Bushiri and his wife Mary Bushiri escaped South Africa in November 2020.

They were facing charges of corruption, theft and money laundering. He escaped while out on bail.
