Atleast three people died, several others were left injured and thousands were displaced after a dam wall burst in Jagersfontein.
The area has been left in an apocalyptic state as thousands of homes, businesses and cars were destroyed.
President Cyril Ramaphosa paid a visit to Jagersfontein in the Free State Province and to meet the victims of the flooding.
He assured the victims that government aid was coming. The president said government will work with NGOs and the public sector in offering assistance.
