King Misuzulu KaZwelithini Zulu’s coronation will be held today where a traditional ceremony called ‘ukungena esibayeni’ will be done.
The ceremony comes a week after Prince Simakade Zulu did the same ceremony as battles for the throne continue.
The Zulu Traditional Prime minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi said, ‘Ukungena esibayeni’ is part of the Zulu cultural tradition and customs done during the coronation of a King.
The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa recognised Misuzulu KaZwelithini as the King of the Zulu nation.

Misuzulu ascended the throne after the passing of the Zulu Monarch, King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and Queen regent Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu.
