King Misuzulu KaZwelithini today entered the Kraal in a traditional ceremony called “ukungena esibayeni”.
This is part of the King’s coronation in accordance to Zulu traditional customs.
The ceremony is being held at the KwaKhangelamankengane Royal Palace.
Last week Prince Simakade Zulu did the same ceremony as the battle for the throne continues.
At the same time today, Prince Mbonisi Zulu, who is late King Goodwill Zwelithini’s brother was at the Pietmaritzburg High Court.
He is leading a faction that is against King Misuzulu’s coronation.
However festivities and the ceremony continued at the KwaKhangelamankengane Royal Palace despite court proceedings.
King Misuzulu KaZwelithini is the recognised leader of the Zulu nation. President Cyril Ramaphosa gave his recognition a few months ago.
