Advocate Malesela Teffo who was representing the accused in Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial has been arrested today at the Pretoria High Court.
The defence lawyer alleges that the Police Minister, Bheki Cele was behind the arrest for being involved in the trial.
During court proceedings, it was alleged that Teffo faced intimidation tactics, death threats, as well as plans to arrest him.
These events are a setback in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case that has not been solved since 2014 when the goalkeeper was shot dead.
Meyiwa was shot dead in October 2014 while at his then girlfriend songstress Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus.
