Former President Jacob Zuma has been accused of corruption and benefiting from the tax payers money for his own extravagant lifestyle.
The state spent millions in upgrading Zuma’s Nkandla residence in KwaZuluNatal. It is believed R8.3 million was spent in acquiring expensive cars for Jacob Zuma’s wives.
It emerged that in 2016, luxurious cars were bought for President Jacob Zuma’s four wives. It was reported that a total of eleven cars were bought for Zuma’s wives.
Four Range Rovers were bought in 2013 for US$60 000 each. Two Land Rover Discoveries worth US$40 000 each were bought in 2014, two Audi Q7s were bought in March 2014 for US$40 000 each.
In addition three Audi A6S were bought in 2016 and they were bought for US$50 000 each. It was said the vehicle’s were purchased to provide comprehensive protection of the VIP’s spouses.
