Mothibeli played the role of Smangaliso Moroka on the show. He competed with his half brother Mazwi Moroka for the Moroka empire.
The producers revealed that Moopi Mothibeli struggled with the abuse storyline he was involved in.
Moopi Mothibeli seems to have resigned from acting and has gone back to his childhood dream of telling African stories through photography.

Smangaliso left South Africa to live with his aunt Karabo Moroka in the United Kingdom. He also left his family business interests and he is also an heir to the Moroka empire, thus he has a chance of returning to the show.
