Idols SA is a South African television show that airs on Mzansi Magic and it is based on the popular British show Pop Idol and American Idols.
The show is on its 17th season and it is a competition to determine the best talented young performer in South Africa. There are judges who include Randall Abrahams, Unathi Nkayi and Somizi Mhlongo.
Being a judge comes with its pecks that include a car. The judges’ travel arrangements to and from the recording venues are catered for by the producers of the show.
Accommodation on a bed and breakfast bases is provided when the judges are working in other cities. The judges are also flown on business class.
The judges get a daily allowance of R1500, this is an out of town allowance just incase they want to spoil themselves. They also get a monthly salary of R48 700 per month over a paid period of ten months.
