Malusi Gigaba Denies Ever Receiving Bribes, Not Even R1

Former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba has denied ever receiving bribes during his terms as Finance Minister and Home Affairs Minister when former President Jacob Zuma was still the head of state.

While testifying before the State Capture Commission of Inquiry/ the Zondo Commission, Gigaba’s ex wife Norma Mngoma accused Malusi Gigaba of being friends with the Gupta brothers.

Norma Mngoma revealed that her ex-husband Malusi Gigaba received bags of cash and gifts from the Guptas. She also said they visited the Gupta residence on many occasions.

Malusi Gigaba has denied all of Norma’s testimony saying there is no concrete evidence and that Norma is a pathological liar. He denied receiving even R1 bribe and being close to the Guptas.
