Production on Uzalo and DurbanGen has been halted due to unrest in Durban and KwaZuluNatal Province. Protesters are demanding that former President Jacob Zuma must be released from prison.
This comes after shops were looted and cars burnt in the province. Major roads and highways including the N3 also affected movement after being blocked. All this affected the operations of SABC 1’s Uzalo and e.tv’s DurbanGen.
Cast members revealed that they are not sure of the day they will go back to work since the protests are still ongoing. The cast and crew members are at their respective homes waiting for calm.
