Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula ended the speculation on the existence of the Thembisa 10 whilst giving a speech at one of the major taxi ranks in Tshwane.
Mbalula and the acting Minister of Health Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane were there to monitor taxis’ compliance with Covid-19 regulations.
In his speech he showed how the government is always blamed and criticised nomatter what it does.
Many believed that the decuplets were there but even the role of government got to be questioned.
“They say government wants to popularise itself but when things don’t go right, they ask where is the government. You give birth to ten babies, social development must be involved, government must be involved,” Mbalula said.
He added that a person can’t just give birth and nobody knows where. Mbalula also brought up the National Baby Shower that people wanted to hold for the Thembisa 10 and said he had planned to contribute R2000 to the cause.
Thus it is clear from the above that the Thembisa 10 do not exist.
