Mangaliso Ngema Is Suing Lorraine Morapa R12.5 Million for Defamation

Actor Mangaliso Ngema is suing actress Lorraine Morapa and the production house Quizzical Pictures for about R12.5 million.

Ngema lodged the defamation claim in the Johannesburg High Court last week accusing the actress of tarnishing his name and predujicing his income.

This was after Lorraine alleged that Mangaliso Ngema s_exually harassed her on set in July last year.

Ngema also accused Quizzical Pictures of terminating his contract and assuming he was guilty before a formal investigation into the allegations had been conducted.

He said this put a strain on his income resulting in him missing out on R5 million investment for his upcoming feature film. He said he had no idea of the origins of the untruthful allegations.
