City Press reports that former Generations actress, Sonia Mbele, has hit hard times and failed to pay production crew for her show,  Pastors Wives, in December, January and February.

The crew then went on a go slow and some them took away equipment including hard drives and a car.

Sources told the newspaper that production started in November, and Mbele failed to pay salaries when they were due in December.

She paid half the salaries and said she will pay the rest in January. She only paid the money on the 15th of January.

Staff were not paid in February and went on a tools down.

The employees wrote a letter to DSTV complaining about the non payment of salaries, who then paid the crew directly.

The Channel (DSTV Channel Honey -173) told staff that the money had been paid to Mbele.

Mbele only got her equipment after the crew was paid.

The sources told City Press that Mbele normally tells staff in the WhatsApp group that she has investments in Mauritius and will pay when the money comes in 5 days, and she would send screenshots. However she still doesn’t pay after the five days.

All the workers were reportedly fired by Sonia after the go slow protest and she hired a new crew from Real House Of Johannesburg to replace them.

Sonia is the owner of her owner of production company, Sonia Mbele Films.
