The City Press newspaper reports that Zimbabwe police have confirmed that they are looking for Khanyi Mbau’s flamboyant millionaire boyfriend, Terrence Kudzai Mushonga.
Mushonga owns a fleet of luxury cars such as Rolls Royce, Range Rovers, Ferraris and Bentleys.
Mushonga claims that he is in the gas and petroleum business and is nicknamed Ndege Boy (Plane Boy). However, friends say he is involved in illegal foreign currency trading in Zimbabwe.
Mushonga was a close friend of the late Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure and was part of a crew called Rich Gangs, made up of successful under 40 men from Zimbabwe.
Speaking to the City Press Newspaper, Police spokesperson, Paul Nyathi said Mushonga has been on the run for over five years.
Nyathi said Zimbabwe investigators want Mushonga in connection with a fraud case involving R2.4 Million.
Mushonga reportedly defrauded African Century after he and accomplices misrepresented to the lender that they were owners of a non-existent airline called Dream Airline Company.
The Zimbabwe Embassy in Pretoria said they were not aware that Mushonga was in South Africa, but now that they know he is here, they will request South African police to apprehend him and deport him back to Zimbabwe to face the charges.
