Malawian authorities blocked the daughter of the self proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri from travelling to Kenya for medical assistance.
Bushiri’s daughter was due to travel to Nairobi to seek medical attention and a private charter jet was in place to fly her to the neighbouring country.
Reports are saying the child’s condition remains critical. Nyondo who is Bushiri’s spokesperson said, the prophet’s daughter was previously receiving medical attention in Kenya.
A few hours later after blocking the plane, the Malawian police issued a warrant of arrest for Bushiri and his wife Mary.
Nyondo said the police stormed one of Bushiri’s properties with a warrant of arrest.
Bushiri and his wife Mary are wanted in Pretoria, South Africa for a raft of charges including fraud and theft.
