Kaizer Chiefs Coach Gavin Hunt has commented on the prolonged absence of club captain and former first choice goal keeper Itumeleng Khune.
Khune has yet to feature for Kaizer Chiefs in 2021 as he has not been part of the match day squad for Kaizer Chiefs’ last six games in all competitions.
The 33 year old who has conceded 10 goals in five DSTV premiership games this season. He last played for Amakhosi in a 2-1 defeat against Super Sport United on the 15th of December last year.
Khune has since been sidelined with Daniel Akbay cementing his position as Gavin Hunt’s first choice.
Kaizer Chiefs Coach, Gavin Hunt recently gave answers to speculations around goal keeper Itumeleng Khune’s whereabouts.
Hunt said Daniel Akbay is playing excellently at the moment and that people need to work hard to get back into the game.
