The formal extradition hearing for Malawian fugitives Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary has been set for March 2021. This was confirmed during the pair’s appearance on Wednesday at a court in Lilongwe, Malawi.
The court was expected to rule on whether the pair would be extradited to South Africa after fleeing in November 2020 in contravention of their bail conditions.
The Malawian government received a formal extradition request from the South African government on the 4th of December 2020.
The self proclaimed prophet has continued preaching to followers in his homeland, Malawi, despite facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering in South Africa.
He announced that they are going to have a grand entrance service in Malawi on the 10th of January 2021.
Prophet Shepherd Bushiri promised a year of miracles for all those he will pray for on the 10th of January.
