The Daily Sun reports that Brigadier Rosey Rosendt of the National organised crimes unit and her husband Clifford Cornelius, who is head of security for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, appeared in court yesterday morning facing corruption charges.

This comes after Cornelius was arrested on 20 January for r_aping Rosey’s relative. An amount of R500 000 was then transferred from the Shepherd Bushiri Ministries Account to the relatives parents’ bank account on 22 January.

The victim then dropped the r_ape charges against Cornelius. Police believe the money was used to induce the victim to drop the r_ape charge

Rosendt and Rosey handed themselves over to the team that is investigating criminal activities relating to Bushiri.

They were granted R15 000 bail and are required to report to Olievenhoutbosch police station on Mondays.

Rosey is required to hand over her third passport within 14 days. Cornelius can not travel outside Gauteng.

The matter was then postponed to 25 February 2021 for further investigations.
