The Sunday independent reports that a junior employee at SASSA (South Africa Social Security Agency), has laid sexual harrassment charges against  General Manager for Customer Care , Sonwabo Koliti (59).

The unnamed woman says Koliti abused her on multiple occasions, including:

–  He touched her bum on multiple occasions while she was in his office.

– He summoned her to his room while on a business trip, in April 2017, in East London and asked her to sit on his bed.

– In 2018, while in Garden Court hotel on a business trip , Koliti entered her room on the pretext of handing her some documents.

– The next day, the two went to the beach and he tried to force himself on her when he parked his car in a secluded area. She screamed for him to stop but he continued. She said he only stopped when another car parked next to theirs.

She also says he slapped her twice when she protested after he reached up her dress while she was bending over to get him a drink that he requested from his fridge.

The Sunday Independent reports that the woman is not the only victim of Koliti’s abuse.

Koliti has been placed on suspension but the woman feels that the matter is being dragged so that Koliti can go on pension when he reaches 60, and get off scot free.
