Is This Really The End Of Idols SA ?

There are reports that Idols SA viewership has dropped below 1 million. It is being said that the show lost over 200 thousand viewers from August.

The ratings keep dropping as the show’s most watched episode this season pulled 900 thousand viewers. Phil Mphela tweeted about the show’s ratings.

Some said Covid-19 pandemic is responsible for the show’s poor performance since the audience was not allowed to be in attendance.

Other tweeps pointed the blame at the judges whom they accused of being unprofessional. The judges were also accused of tribalism not so long ago.

Idols SA is a reality tv show based on the popular British show Pop Idol and the American version, American Idols. The show has had 16 seasons since its inception in 2002.
